Obi preaches peace, unity on Maulud, felicitates with Muslims

The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has charged Muslim faithful and  Nigerians in general, to uphold the sacred virtues of peace, unity and love, ingredients, which he noted, are indispensable for the national progress.

Obi made the call while felicitating with Muslims on their celebration of Eid-El-Maulud commemorating the birthday of the holy Prophet Muhammed.

Averring that the Prophet Muhammed upheld these virtues, he urged Nigerians to cherish them while loving one another.

“I felicitate with the Muslim faithful in Nigeria on this occasion of Eid-El-Maulud in commemoration of the birthday of the holy Prophet Muhammed. May this celebration remind us of the need to love and care for one another, according to the virtues of the holy Prophet Muhammed.

He prayed that the celebration usher into “our highly divided nation”, peace and unity, love and progress.

“May we unite in purpose and efforts, to move our nation forward, as we journey into the New Nigeria,” Obi said.
