Policeman who shot Opeyemi on illegal duty-Ekiti Police Command

Contrary to claims that the man who allegedly shot former House of Representatives member, Opeyemi Bamidele was a fake policeman, the Police in Ekiti State have confirmed that he is actaully a police officer serving in Lagos State.

“He’s not a fake policeman, he’s our officer but he was on illegal duty in Ekiti State, ” said Caleb Ikechukwu, spokesman of the Ekiti Police Command in an interview with Channels Television on Friday night.

“He was an officer posted as Guard at a Bank in Ikeja, Lagos but he illegally escorted a Politician to Ekiti State on illegal duty.

“The Politician came from Lagos to attend the rally. The politician has also been quizzed,” Ikechukwu said.
