Dogara, House leaders pay Senator Dino Melaye visit in hospital

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara on Tuesday led other leaders and members of the House on a visit to Senator Dino Melaye at the National Hospital Abuja.

Senator Melaye who is facing allegations of illegally supplying firearms to some individuals and jumping out of a moving Police vehicle on the way to Kogi State for his arraignment, was hospitalized at the National Hospital following a court order.

Dogara, who was accompanied by his deputy Yusuff Lasun, Deputy Minority Leader Binta Bello and other members of the House, were received by former Speaker of the House, Patricia Etteh and the Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Jaf Momoh.

Senator Melaye who is asthmatic is receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit, trauma centre of the National hospital.

The speaker prayed God to grant Senator Melaye quick recovery .
