Breaking: Former Lagos State Governor, Lateef Jakande dies

Alhaji Latest Balance, the first civilian governor of Lagos State, has died. He was aged 91 years.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who broke the news of the death of the former Lagos helmsman via a tweet on Thursday, expressed gratitude to God for a ” worthy life well spent in the service of Lagos State, Nigeria and humanity” by the departed statesman.

Sanwo-Olu described Jakande as a venerable statesman, outstanding politician, public administrator.
