ONDO GOVERNSHIP ELECTION: PAN CHARGES PARTIES, INEC, SECURITY AGENCIES TO PLAY BY THE RULES
“As we look forward to the forth coming Ondo State election on Saturday, October 10, 2020, PAN wishes to call on all stakeholders and security agencies to play according to the rule of the game. The successful and peaceful conduct of the Edo State election is a testament that if everyone plays by the rule, there can be victory for all”.
“PAN calls on all political parties to caution their supporters to be peaceful and maintain decorum on election day as this will be a test of the maturity of Ondo people in their quest for good governance,” the statement said.
The group urged the Ondo electorate to vote according to their conscience and put the collective interest of Ondo state, its citizens and good governance in high perspective as they cast their ballot.
“PAN hopes that at the end of the election on Saturday, Nigerians shall once more congratulate Ondo State for a successful conduct of a peaceful, free and fair election,” the statement said
PAN also congratulated Hovernor Godwin Obaseki on his electoral victory. It hoped that like a patriotic Nigerian, that he is, he will make concerted moves to working with all who contested against him in the election and work assiduously with all parties to actualizing the promises he has made to the people of Edo State.
