Senate suspends plenary for two weeks

The Nigerian Senate on Wednesday suspended its plenary for two weeks to allow lawmakers to attend to budget matters.

The suspension was sequel to a motion for adjournment moved by Ahmen Lawan, Senate Leader.

Senator Lawan who represents Yobe North on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) urged the lawmakers to suspend their plenary until Tuesday, April 2.

His motion was adopted via a voice vote.
