APC dismisses Fayemi’s suspension by Ekiti APC faction as nullity

The national leadership of All Progressives Congress(APC) on Friday described the suspension of Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti by the Senator Tony Adeniyi as a nullity.
The party in a statement signed by it’s Gemini Nabena, its National Publicity Secretary, said the purported and widely-reported “suspension” of the Governor of Fayemi
lacked basis in the APC’s constitution.
“The actions are a nullity as the Party’s National Secretariat is yet to receive communication from the state chapter on the purported “suspensions”. We strongly advise all members to adhere to our Party constitution. Governor Kayode Fayemi remains the leader of the party in Ekiti State,” the statement said.
The statement said that in line with the mandate of the Governor Mai Mala Buni-led APC Caretaker/Extra-Ordinary National Convention Planning Committee and 26th
President Muhammadu Buhari’s admonition to party members to ensure and support ongoing amicable and rancour-free settlement of internal party disputes, all APC members in Ekiti State should ceasefire.
The statement said I order to set records straight. the Architect Paul Omotosho-chaired APC Ekiti State Working Committee is the authentic, valid and duly recognised Executive Committee of the APC in Ekiti State as no other factions existed in the state.
